1. (Difficult) I had a very difficult time with this section. I kind of understood the examples, but was lost for the most part. I understand that the discrete log is a hard problem, and the explanation of how to solve for it was very difficult to understand. The Baby Step, Giant Step section was also confusing to me.
2. (Reflective) I have never heard of these before in any other math class. Normally, I have at least heard of the topics we have gone over, but this is brand new to me. From the explanations, this seems like a very difficult topic, one that takes a lot of time and patience. I am hoping that with class and working out some solid example this new material will become less foreign.
